Virginia Marshall created a new topic Boof Tips from Liquidlogic's Shane Benedict in the forums.Shane Benedict commented on the blog Video: Learn How to Boof:
http://www.rapidmag.com/blogs/features-skills/310-video-learn-to-boof.html
"Pulling the stroke through the entire move is very important. What I say in the video is to start the stroke just as you are coming to the object, through it, and finish the stroke as you pull yourself off the drop.
I think it is important that you start the stroke just as or ever so slightly before you touch your boofing spot because that gives you control over how you will interact with the feature. It's often too late if you wait for contact because the rock or whatever it is you are boofing can deflect you away from your target."

Virginia Marshall created a new topic How to Boof in the forums.Jordan commented on Video: Learn How to Boof
<www.rapidmag.com/blogs/features-skills/3...arn-to-boof.html>
"I'd like to ask for clarification -- My understanding is that the boof stroke should be ON (or even pushing off the edge of) whatever it is you're boofing. You say it should be "just before you reach whatever it is that you are boofing." Have I been led astray?"
Shane Benedict replied:
"You haven't been lead astray at all. Pulling the stroke through the entire move is very important.
What I say in the video is to start the stroke just as you are coming to the object, through it, and finish the stroke as you pull yourself off the drop.
I think it is important that you start the stroke just as, or ever so slightly before, you touch your boofing spot because that gives you control over how you will interact with the feature. It's often too late if you wait for contact because the rock or whatever it is you are boofing can deflect you away from your target. I hope that clarifies a little."
